Soothe inflamed perineal skin
Can’t use topical estrogen? Vitamin E could be a useful alternative.
According to this study, eight weeks after using either topical estrogen or topical vitamin E (in a suppository form), the reported results were nearly the same.
For Salve, we use natural vitamin E made from non-GMO canola, grown in the USA, and extracted via vacuum distillation. This is different from synthetic alternatives (annotated with the “dl” prefix) found in most commercial products with vitamin E.
The powerful sea-born gorgonian extract and 8,000 IU of Vitamin E per bottle have a soothing and calming effect on highly sensitive skin—perfect for genital and perianal use.
This rich balm is preservative-free to speed the healing of minor wounds and fissures while maintaining a healthy skin microbiome.
Also, it’s great for skincare after hair removal.
How we make it
- Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Esterified coconut oil):~55%
- Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E, up to 8,000 IU per bottle): 20%
- Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax (Esterified natural beeswax): ~15%
- Gorgonian Extract: 5%
- Sunflower oil: under 2%
- Grape Seed Extract: 1%
Up to 80 applications per bottle
- Apply to clean, dry skin
- Use a very small amount (half of a pump) per application
- Better if stored in a cool, dry place.
How long does the SALVE last?
One 1 oz. bottle of SALVE contains enough for about 80-100 applications, which should last for 2-3 months. It is best if used within 3-4 months after opening.
You can help it stay fresh longer by storing it in a cool, dry place.
How does it smell?
SALVE has a slight nutty smell due to the high concentration of Vitamin E.
How does it feel on the skin?
SALVE is oil-based, so it won’t have a dry finish after application. But, because of its great spreadability, you only need a tiny amount to make a protective film on your skin. You won’t feel it after the application (and it will not transfer to underwear) if you use the amount you need.
